Lorena Carrington is a photographic artist and illustrator. She has been an exhibiting artist and working photographer for nearly 20 years. Her recent creative focus has been on fairy tales, in particular those with strong female protagonists.
Lorena exhibits regularly, and her works are held in Australian and International collections. She featured as a headline artist in the 2015 Mildura and Wentworth Arts Festival, in their new Lens Based program.
She has had solo exhibitions at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery, Stephen McLachlan Gallery (Melbourne CBD), Bendigo Library, The Art Vault (Mildura), and Blarney Books & Gallery (Port Fairy) amongst other galleries.
In her life as a commercial photographer, she specialises in artwork documentation & reprography, and food & lifestyle photography. Her work has been published in national newspapers and magazines, and she has been the co-photographer for books including Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum : history and collections; A M E BALE : Her Art and Life; Scottish Painters in Australia; and many others.
